Catching Up

Once again, I have been spending more time at my bench than with my blog so I thought a little catching up was in order.

Lost Packages: Remember a few posts back when I was complaining about losing 2 packages within 2 weeks.  I received a note this morning that one of them, going to Australia, finally arrived – 3 weeks past due but it is there.  3 weeks doesn’t seem like a long time when going to the other side of the world but evidently she usually receives her items from the U.S. in no more than 7 business days.  Anyway…it found it’s home.  As for the other package – it is still a no-show.

WWII Reunion: My blog is set to receive emails when a new comment is posted.  Sunday evening I received a post from “anonymous” which was appended to my post back in September when I was telling about the WWII Reunion that my brother and I attended with our Dad.  This person stated, “My husband & I missed this wonderful reunion. We hope to catch everyone on the next one.  So many of our members are gone or unable to travel but we will never forget them
Thanks for your descriptions and comments of activities.”
She even signed her name.  I found this really odd because what are the chances of someone who would have attended that reunion would have found my blog.  So, “anonymous”, if you read this, please comment again – my dad would love to know if he knows you.

Baby Goats: Smudge and Cocoa are continuing to do well without their momma…they are eating well and growing and they each know their names now.  If they hear me out in the yard, they start crying and run into the dog pen so I can feed them and they follow me around like puppies; I think they have imprinted on me.

New Work: Here is some of what has been keeping me too busy to blog:

Bird’s Eye Rhyolite with copper flower – this is a slider-type pendant.

Beautiful Koroit Boulder Opal – WOOHOO! I just sold it!

Pistachio Chrysocolla earrings – I have fallen completely in love with this stone

Really enjoyed the blog update. I feel all caught up with the goings-on in your world. Hope you hear from "anonymous" real soon. I'm sure your Dad would enjoy corresponding with her. Glad to hear that Cocoa and Smudge are doing well. Sounds as though they are your kids in more ways than one! :)

Your new work is incredible! It is certainly no surprise that the Koroit Boulder Opal sold so quickly. Congratulations to you and the fortunate buyer!
