My dad and brother were here visiting this week…I really hated to see them leave this morning but we had a great visit. The weather cooperated so we went Eagle watching (they winter in our area) and fortunately we found a few…most were flying overhead but we were lucky to spot this momma and her baby. I was so glad we found one that was perched so we could take pictures….my brother was thrilled…he had not seen them in the wild before. We watched them for probably 1/2 hour and they never left this spot…the only thing momma or maybe poppa moved was his/her head.
The eagles were perched pretty far away from where we were parked but
I am pretty pleased with how well the pictures came out.![]()

Gorgeous photos! We were lucky to see several eagles on a trip to Yellowstone a few years ago. It was the first time we have ever encountered them, and it was an amazing sight.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alice...they are such wondrous creatures.
ReplyDeleteSuch amazing birds! And great photos Sandi!
ReplyDeleteI really wish there were bald eagles around where I am from. I have had the pleasure of seeing one from a very far distance just one time. These are gorgeous photos and I am envious of the time you got to spend watching these beautiful creatures.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful photos. You were so fortunate to see them. Sorry you had to say goodbye to your Dad and brother but glad to hear you really enjoyed the visit.
