Family

What is it about a death that brings out the worst in a family!

Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, the author of “On Death and Dying”, once said, "When you look back at the anguish, suffering, and traumas in your life, you'll see that these are the periods of biggest growth. After a loss that brings you dreadfully painful moments, you are a different man, a different woman. Many years later, you will be able to look back and see the positive things--togetherness in your family, faith or whatever -- that came out of your pain."

Boy I hope she’s right.

  1. I'm sorry for whatever is going on with your family. It seems things like this come out at the absolute worst times. Sometimes hurtful things are said or done by those we trust and love the most, and they can not be undone.

I pray for patience, strength, and healing for you.

  2. Oh gosh Sandi - I'm so sorry to hear that you are having family issues on top of dealing with the grief of this loss. People deal with loss and grief in different ways, that is all I can say. It brings out the best in some and the worst in others. (((hugs))) I hope things ease up for you.

  4. Sandi, I'm so sorry to hear that you are having "family problems" I have seen that ugly monster rear its head several times when My Hubby lost family members. No one should have to deal with that monster at anytime. (((HUGS)))

Thank goodness for the blessing of goodness also found during these stressful times.

    Take care of yourself!!

  5. People who loved you before, still love you. They just don't know how to cope with their own grief and pain and sometimes they do and say horrible things without thinking first. Trust that when they are done with this stage of grief, they will come back to you in a loving, caring manner.

Thinking about you and sending love.

to strengthen our faith in Him.
