On October 20th, we celebrated my dad’s 90th birthday…I can’t believe he is that old; I can’t believe I am that old. He is in such great shape for his age and we are so thankful to still have him around. The theme for the party was red, white, and blue, in commemoration of his service to his country and to the great man he is.
The cake was so awesome…there was a B17 painted on it – that’s what Daddy flew in during the war. He brought his scrapbook from when he was in WWII and I think the book got as much attention as Daddy did. We love you Poppa! Here’s wishing you many more wonderful years!

He had a great turn out…it was a very special way to honor our dad.
Happy birthday to Poppa! Tell him that I just sold my Ryan PT-22 to a flying museum in Granite Falls, Minnesota - he may have been an aviation cadet and had the chance to fly one. I owned this one from 1986 and restored it to WWII colors and configuration. Miss it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for comment Lynn. I am sure daddy enjoyed your post.
